Larimar Gemstone Jewlery

Found only in the Dominican Republic, Larimar is an ocean-blue gemstone, given its name by Miguel Mendez who first worked the gemstone in the 1970s.  It is a derivative of his daughter’s name, Larissa, and the Spanish word, “mar” meaning ocean.  Working directly with local artisans in selecting, cutting and creating these stunning pieces of jewelry, our Larimar importer ensures quality and craftsmanship.  The stone said to have natural healing properties, promoting tranquility and a strong sense of inner peace and serenity.
